The Trade Compliance Specialist works collaboratively with internal teams such as GPS, Trade Compliance members, Support, Sales, Architecture, Legal, and CCG teams, as well as with external partners such External Legal Counsel, and potential Government Agencies (Dept of State, Dept of Commerce, and Dept of Treasury) to ensure compliance in accordance with all federal rules and regulations as it pertains to HCL’s products and services.

Role and Responsibilities :
- Assist in managing Trade Compliance program for Dept of State/Commerce requirements for IT and Engineering services customers, recordkeeping, audits, and classification.
- Monitors & interprets regulatory & international changes and implements activities to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, controls, and training to all employees including ITAR, Export and Import Control Regulations, Encryption, License Exceptions, Red Flags, and Recordkeeping procedures.
- Create and maintain up to date departmental procedures and best practices and standardize processes across E&TC team
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Preferred fields: Engineering, Law, International Trade;
- Must have 0-3 years customs and international trade compliance direct experience;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Good verbal and written communication
- Able to function in a team environment
